He was born on September 25, 1957. He was a research associate of Faculty of Engineering, Gunma University since 1988 till 2002, an associate professor since 2002 till 2008, and a professor since 2008. He was graduated from Tokyo Institute of Technology, Department of Polymer Engineering in 1982. Then he advanced to the graduate school of Tokyo University, and received his D. Eng. in 1988. The tittle of the doctoral thesis is “Thermal and Photo- Degradation of Aromatic Polymers”. His research interests are preparation and characterization of functional materials consisting of polymers, especially polymer composites with vegetable fibers. His research interests also include plasma chemistry and surface chemistry.
报告大纲: This novel coating technology is based on a combination of an aerosol deposition and a non-equilibrium atmospheric pressure plasma jet treatment.
The aerosol deposition is a spray coating process to produce dense films at room temperature.
Titanium dioxide was coated on goose down via sol–gel hydrolysis and condensation of methanol solution of titanium tetraisopropoxide (Ti(OC3H7)4.
The non-equilibrium atmospheric pressure plasma jet was generated by our original equipment CAPPLAT by using Ar as the working gas.
In this lecture, the basic explanation concerning a sol-gel reaction and a non-equilibrium atmospheric pressure plasma will be given first and the research results of the novel technology will be shown.
