You think you have learned a lot and know your clothing well? Come to discover something new, interesting and more relevant!
You know a fabric is made of yarns that are in turn made of fibers (multi-scale), but why the hassle, and why not just straightly use nonwoven or papers formed directly from fibers? You may also know a fabric is a porous (multiphase), flexible and complex material (heterogeneous and anisotropic), but are you aware what kind of unique functionalities are achieved because of them?
What makes a cloth comfortable, warm, flexible and pliable to wear?What are the biggest challenges facing the emerging wearable technology?All these issues will be discussed in this talk.
