报告大纲:

  The main reasons why we wear cloth is to keep us warm and comfortable, and of course in addition to the fact that we are fully evolved and civilized species so we need to shield our body appropriately. But so far nobody in the world can even plausibly explain in theory about clothing comfort, despite the over-thousand years history and experience in cloth wearing.

  We learned a lot through physics about heat and mass transfer. But how relevant those physical theories are to our clothing system including human body where very complex metabolic, thermodynamical, biophysical interactions take place. Because of such complexities, we know very little about the BIG picture of clothing comfort. This talk will explore step-by step all the major factors and how they intertwine with one another to jointly determine clothing performance.
