报告大纲:
We all complain that textile profession lacks in its own fundamental science. This presentation introduces some fundamental questions that are challenges to the scientific community in general, but with particular significance to textile materials.The list includes property connections between micro-component and macro-system (Fibers vs. cloth); entropy contribution to not very large systems (Textile systems); packing and contact problems in fibrous materials; physics and mechanics of porous & flexible materials; physiology and biophysics in body-cloth interactions. It is the main goal of this talk to demonstrate that there are many scientific questions in textile fields which once resolved can lead to world class research achievements – so as to gradually establish a frame for fundamental textile science.
